ingredients:
4-6 chicken breasts (frozen OK)
1/2 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce (small bottle is OK)
1/4 c vinegar
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
Mix everything but chicken
Place chicken in crockpot
Pour sauce mixture over chicken
Cook on low 4-6 hours
Notes: My chicken was frozen, so I turned the Crockpot to “high” for the first 2 hours, then low for the remaining 4 hours. The sauce was very “liquidy” so I actually took the lid off and turned it back up to high to finish it off (like the pic above).
The review? Everybody loved it! Definitely a keeper! I normally would make pasta or rice to go with it, but instead we served it with baby romaine hearts cut in half, drizzled with a bit of ranch, and I chopped up my chicken breast to lay on top of the lettuce bed. A side of black beans, too. YUM! Cheap dinner, too….I think it cost us $6 to serve the whole family?
