Using a couple slices of bread (it can be any type of bread and even day-old bread works well), toss the slices into your slow cooker. You can break them up to make them more bite size or just leave them as is.

However, you could get creative here since this will be the base of your flavor for the French toast. Try adding in a little bit of orange liqueur instead of vanilla extract!

Add a generous helping of brown sugar over everything, cover your slow cooker and then let it cook
for a few hours or overnight!
