EASY BUCKEYES

HOW TO MAKE BUCKEYES?

For this simple Buckeye recipe, only a few ingredients are needed. In a couple of minutes, these classic peanut butter candies come together and are dipped around a creamy peanut butter core in dark chocolate for a snappy shell.

Ingrediants

1+1/2 C. Of « peanut butter ».

1 C. Of softened butter.

1/2 TSP. Of vanilla extract.

6C. Of confectioners sugar.

4C. Of semisweet chocolate chips.

 

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1:

I used wax paper to line a large tray or a baking sheet.

STEP 2:

I mixed the confectioners’ sugar with peanut butter, vanilla and butter in a medium bowl, stirring until well blended.

STEP 3:

I rolled the peanut butter mixture into small balls and placed the balls on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.

STEP 4:

I pressed a toothpick into the top of each ball and chilled for about 40 minutes in the freezer until firm.

STEP 5:

I put the chocolate chips in the microwave to melt, for about 60 sec.

STEP 6:

Then I dipped each peanut butter ball in chocolate using the toothpick.

STEP 7:

To make them look like Buckeyes, I leave a small amount of peanut butter showing at the end.

STEP 8:

I placed the peanut butter balls coated with chocolate on wax paper and removed the toothpick.

STEP 9:

I refrigerated until set definitively. Then I served them, for storing, I let them in a jar in the fridge.
