You’ll Need:
1 tbsp of fat-free mayonnaise.
6 ounces of thinly sliced ham.
¼ tsp of freshly ground black pepper.
¼ cup of fat-free milk.
1 tbsp of whole grain dijon mustard.
8 (1 ounce) slices of Italian bread.
1 cup (4 ounces) of shredded Gruyère cheese.
½ cup of egg substitute.
Cooking spray.
How to:
In a small bowl, mix together the mustard and mayonnaise.
Spread ¾ tsps of the mixture over the 4 bread slices and layer each slice with 1 ½ ounces of ham and ¼ cup of cheese.
Season with pepper and spread ¾ tsp of mayonnaise mixture over each bread slice, place, mustard side down on top of the sandwiches.
In a shallow dish, mix the egg substitute with the fat-free milk and dip both sides of each sandwich into it.
Over medium heat, heat a large nonstick griddle or skillet and coat with cooking spray.
Cook the sandwiches for 3 minutes per side and enjoy!
