She Puts Borax On Waxed Paper And Slides It Under The Fridge. Now Watch What She Pulls It Out

Chances are you’ve heard of Borax, but you don’t really know what it is or how to use it. Borax is made up of oxygen, sodium, water, and boron. This makes it inexpensive, all-natural, and useful for a ton of things around the house! Here are a few of our favorite ways to use Borax:

Kill unwanted bugs: Don’t resort to harsh chemicals for pest control, use Borax instead! Simply mix equal parts powdered sugar and borax and place it on a piece of wax paper. Slip the paper under your fridge or cabinets to attract and then kill bugs in those hard to read places!

Fertilize plants: You might not expect the same ingredient that kills bugs to be used to help give plans life, but that’s part of what makes Borax so amazing! Using a very small amount of borax on your plants will not only help them grow but it will help them thrive.

Make candle wicks: Who doesn’t love making candles? Borax can help! Combine 3 tablespoons of borax, 1 cup of boiling water and 1 tablespoon of salt. Soak a long string of twine in the mixture for 24 hours. After letting it dry for 2 days, you’ll have your very own DIY candle wick!

Cleaning the toilet: Borax has got to be the easiest way to clean the toilet. Simply pour a cup of borax in your toilet and let it set overnight. Scrub out your toilet in the morning for an all natural clean – no bleach involved!

Get rid of harmful mold in your bathroom: Mix enough water in with your borax to create a thick paste. Apply the paste to the areas in your bathroom where mold is/can grow – like in the shower or around the base of your toilet – and let it sit overnght. Then, just brush away the paste the next day for a brilliant shine!

Clean stinky underwear: We’ve all experienced the devistation of losing your favorite bra to the harsh washing machine. Borax to the rescue! Just mix 1/4 cup of borax, laundry detergent, and very warm water. Let the undergarments soak for about half an hour, rinse and hang dry. Your bra will look and smell as good as new without any damage!

Unclog drains: Clogged drains are no problem for borax. Simply pour a 1/2 cup of borax down the drain. Slowly pour two cups of boiling water into the drain and leave it to sit for about 10 minutes. Repeat as necessary.

Clean your pans: We all have a few pots and pans that have seen better days. One easy way to revive your pans is to let them soak in borax for about 10 minutes. Then, simply wipe away the leftover ingredients with a soft rag.
