CROCK-POT BBQ CHICKEN WINGS

This crockpot BBQ chicken wings recipe is a great alternative for those who love chicken wings, but don’t like to heat up the whole house. It’s as much crispy and delicious as the fried chicken, but not fried. so it’s healthy as well.

INGREDIENTS:

Frozen wings (thawed overnight)
3 cups brown sugar
1 can of tomato sauce
a couple squeezes of mustard
1/3 cup flour (for thickening)
1/3 can of rootbeer (you can use coke or dr. Pepper as well)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 ) Thaw your frozen wings and drain all the moisture off.

2 ) Put in the crockpot with 3 cups of brown sugar, 1 can of tomato sauce, a couple of squeezes of mustard, 1/3 can of rootbeer (you can use coke or dr. Pepper as well), and 1/3 cup of flour to thicken up the mixture.

3 ) Mix all the ingredients together and pour over wings.

4 ) Start by cooking them on warm for 9 hours, then turn up to low for about 2 hours, and around 1 hour on high allowing the sauce to boil into the chicken and they should be ready to enjoy or to put them in the oven right out of the crock-pot if you want that crispy texture.

5 ) Put in the oven at 350-450 (depending on how hot is your oven) for 15-20 minutes for desired crispiness (My advice is to check on it every 5 minutes) serve and enjoy!.
